Vogel Law Firm has always been a firm deeply committed to putting our clients and employees at the center of all we do. Today, this principle continues to guide us as we determine how we will keep our clients, our employees, and our communities healthy and safe in these uncertain times and uncharted waters. We will continue to carefully monitor the current coronavirus outbreak and follow recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, federal, state and local agencies. While ensuring business continuity to meet our clients’ needs, we will implement the following measures to prioritize the health of our employees and clients:
- We have increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitation of our offices and advised all employees to follow a safety protocol of regular handwashing, no face touching and minimal physical contact. We have asked our employees to remain home if they have symptoms of respiratory illness, have a confirmed case of COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19, or have travelled internationally or to areas at high risk of community spread of the illness.
- We have a business continuity plan in place and are well prepared to deliver legal services and to support our clients. This includes secure technology systems that allow us to work outside of our physical offices if needed. Our attorneys will be accessible by phone and email and have access to resources necessary to provide uninterrupted client services. We have directed that all client meetings be held by telephone or video conference whenever possible. If in-person client meetings are necessary, those meetings will take place in a space sufficient to allow people to sit the CDC-recommended distance from one another. We have further instructed that all attorneys and staff avoid shaking hands, distance commute where possible, and follow other appropriate social distancing protocols.
- We have restricted non-essential business and personal travel. As previously indicated, if attorneys or staff have travelled internationally or to known domestic hot spots for the virus, we require them to self-quarantine for 14 days upon return.
We will continue to monitor this situation and provide immediate information and updates that will help in efforts to flatten the curve of the COVID-19 crisis. If you have any questions or need any additional information, please reach out to your Vogel Law Firm attorney.
