[nap_names id=”FIRM-NAME-1″] is pleased to announce the addition of KrisAnn Norby-Jahner to the firm. KrisAnn concentrates her practice in labor and employment law, ERISA litigation, and general civil litigation, where she represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of litigation matters. In her ERISA litigation practice, KrisAnn represents plaintiffs during the internal appeal process for their long-term and short-term disability benefits. She also litigates ERISA claims in federal court.

KrisAnn has also been involved in a variety of employment cases, representing employees who have been discriminated against in the workplace, are seeking a review of employment contracts and separation agreements, or are seeking unemployment benefits. She provides full legal representation during unemployment benefit appeal hearings. In addition, she represents employers who need assistance in drafting employee handbooks, non-compete and confidentiality agreements, and other employment-related documents. She has also lectured on employment law considerations for start-up businesses and small business owners.

Prior to joining [nap_names id=”FIRM-NAME-1″], KrisAnn practiced in the Twin Cities. She obtained a J.D. from Hamline University School of Law, where she was active on Law Review, the National Moot Court team, and the Alternative Dispute Resolution program; Ph.D./ABD from Kent State University; M.A. from North Dakota State University; B.A. from Minnesota State University Moorhead; and A.A. from Minot State University-Bottineau, where she played college basketball. KrisAnn is also able to mediate disputes as a qualified neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice.
